Rained today for first time since new screen put in, no wipers. Great. Last time they didn't clip the sensor back properly, this time not only have they not clipped it in, the sensor clips are bent and the cable kinked.

Anyone else had this problem?? I think in future I can see me insisting on a main dealer fitted screen.

do the wipers not work at all or is it just the auto setting that doesn't work? the rain sensor might just need to be re-adapted.

Just the auto setting, this is the second screen in a month - first time they didn't clip it in right and refitting it sorted it out, this time it's not working at all...

i would go to a main dealer, get a new sensor fitted and coded then send the bill to the windscreen company.

replacement screen/glass

nationwide 08000 320 616 mention andy (they know me very well ! ) for any glass, i use them all the time , never had a problem yet !
insurance approved etc they are based in market weighton will come to home/work hth

Dealers normally sub-let the work out to windscreen companies.

It's working now after unplugging, straightening and reconnecting (again) - but Autoglass's attitude will mean no more business from me unless last resort.
