baby coupe

bigyank.

As far as i am aware, if you have a mercedes baby seat, does it not switch off the passenger airbag in the W209 automatically?

If not, then we will be scuppered next year when we have ours!

Are you using a Mercedes baby seat?

Regards,

KJ

Funny, that just occurred to me yesterday and yes you are right!

However, Mrs M still is unsure about Little L being in the front - for distraction reasons.
BTW - MB have some real cheek - its £350 for the seat!

Yeah, rear facing baby seats are problematic. I had a cute old style Mitsubishi Colt but swapped it when our first child arrived as it was just too much of a struggle getting them in the back. Also, at times one parent may want to sit in the back with the baby (if it's ill or crying), which is tricky in two door cars with poor access and little room in the back.

Well 600 miles over the festive period with 7 week old son, wife, mother in law () and dog and we can confirm that the CE is indeed a splendid family car.

We've got a Maxi-Cosi seat and Easi-Fix base, works very well. Quite a few pushchairs (e.g. Quinny Buzz) also accept this seat. Having the easi-fix base makes getting the seat in and out far far easier.

Just put the kid in the front seat until they are big enough to climb in the back themselves. My wife regularly takes our 3 kids (ages 7 - 3) in her CLK, no problems.

The seat we've got works fine in the front or the back, there is loads of room in the back with the passenger seat forward - I guess it depends on the size and fitness of the parents.

I expect it will get a bit more tricky when he gets bigger and you are bending to put him in...

I was just pleased I managed to load the car up with family and associated paraphernalia including a load of pressies without too much fuss. The sloping rear screen is great as junior just sits there staring out at the sky :D

PS Good job Ian replaced the rear springs....
