Anyone ever experienced battery drain. Fully charged battery drains in about 1 week despite daily use. Any one any ideas or auto electrician prepared to take a look in East Midlands area

Battery drain

Had a similar experience with battery drain with my 1995 S320. The dealership was unable to find the cause, so I took it home and traced the wiring from the battery in the rear up over the fender on the right. I removed the trim, and pulled the large cable of wires back and forth, which apparently dislodged the faulty wire away from the source of the electrical loss, as the battery drain then ceased. Before that the battery woul drain in about 3 days while sitting.

I keep reading about faulty rear SAM (fuse box). The sensible thing would be to ask if you added any parts to the car which draw current like a DVD player or some other nice toy.
