BBC article about fast estates

IIRC The original lambo V10 was built by Audio engineers to fit the gallardo at the turn of the century and first used in the Audi le mans cars, however there were problems with this engine and it was subsequently replaced with the Audi 5.0 litre Tfsi unit, this was then superceded by the 5.2 Tfsi unit both of which appeared in the Audi R8 and are identical to the engines in the later lambos

Seeing as VAG own both companies, can anyone say who's engine is in what car, it's a VAG engine.

Does it matter??

When all those Mercedes roll off the line with Renault engines we'll then know whether it matters or not.

I have been round the Lamborghini factory and seen the V10 being assembled - there isn't a single part of that engine that isn't stamped with the Audi rings (and there is not a sniff of a charging bull). The whole thing is sent from Germany and assembled in Italy.

^ proud Fabia owner I see ;)

Seeing as it's just had it's 3rd fault in 8 years, hard to see why not.

1st fault, alarm ultrasonics set too sensitive (adjusted under warranty), 2nd fault slight knock from front brake backplate (tighten bolt, under warranty), 3rd fault, alarm triggering due to flat batteries in key.

Not been too bad I think...;)

My Lambo *cough I mean A2 is also doing rather well, I never knew owning an Italian super car could be so affordable.

Nothing cooler than a fast estate! My dad bought a white 300TE-24 Sportline when I was 10. Loved them ever since, can't wait for the CLS63 Shooting Brake. Not that I can afford one...

My E430 is the latest of quite a few "pokey" estates Ive had.
