I am trying to work out when it's not going to be raining in order that I can give mine a wash and polish , as usual here rain is forecast .

I'm going to run ours through a carwash prior to our arrival, The wife uses the car through the week for work so I won't get the opportunity to wash it beforehand. I can't wait for the weekend to arrive.

We would really appreciate hearing from someone who knew Bruce well and would be happy to get up and say a few words about him/raise a glass after the auction. Next year we will be having a Millar award so will get your ideas on this after the event. Sadly there hasn't been enough time to arrange anything this time around. But we absolutely have to raise a glass to Bruce on the day. Please PM me if you feel you could be the person to do this for us. I cant, I am useless and will just cry! I also would feel better if it came from someone that knew him better.

Hey Smart320 I see you are in Carmarthen, well I'm in Ammanford! when are you travelling? I'm planning on leaving very early on Saturday morning (06:30)to meet at PCS before 10:30 and join the drive to The George Inn. If you are doing a similar thing we could possibly travel together, I'll keep an eye on this page for your reply. Steve

Hi Steve, as my wife has decided to come along and has also arranged an overnight stay with friends in Chichester on the Sunday evening we will be leaving on Friday then staying Friday and Saturday nights near Portsmouth.
She decided that a quick blast down and back in a day was not her idea of fun and that we needed a relaxed weekend way, so being a sensible husband I agreed ( wife number 3, so I have finally learnt how to stay happily married )
However would be great to meet up at PCS and keep the Welsh contingent together on the drive over to The George.

P.S. I'm staying in the area Saturday evening and meeting up with my nephew on the Sunday. I also wouldn't want to do the journey there and back in one day.

However, it may be sunny in Scotland next week for the only time this year and the Glens are calling...may pop in and see the Duchess and reclaim my lands whence they cleared us back in the 1700s!! A few thousand acres of wild Scots land, with a castle and some fishing will suffice. After all it's been a long time, and with compound interest!! Oh and they can throw in a new Bi-Turbo as damages for distress from being off my land for so long dammit!
