So after reading the online manuals there are still many mysteries concerning the W205.

This is just a general question about connecting an i phone, which I guess covers all the MB range. Am I better off using bluetooth or connecting the iphone via the USB socket? Is the phones functionality including stored music the same on the car regardless of its connection. The car has the audio 20 and not the command option.

The advantage to using the USB socket would be that the phone will be kept fully charged. It depends on how long your journeys are. If they last a number of hours, running Bluetooth may leave you with a discharged phone.

I have noticed that when I am travelling, my phone discharges quicker than if I stay in one place. I think this is something to do with constantly switching from one cell site to another.

Mind you, I don't know if you can connect to the telephony system using the USB socket, so you may end up using USB for charging and Bluetooth for connection. Give it a go and see what happens.

Great answer, never thought about the charging.

Bluetooth audio streaming gives no information regarding track being played on our W205
usb does give more info/options
