I have just fitted a set of BMC filters to the C43. I have fitted them to my RENNtech carbon airbox. They will also fit a standard C43 too.

BMC make filters for most F1 engines, world toring cars ETC so I thought I would give them a try. The advantage is that they are lifetime filters that can be cleaned. I will never have to buy another set. There is supposed to be a performance gain but it is very difficult to measure.

I have taken pics of every step.

During road test there is no extra engine noise either.

Fitment was very impressive. They fit better than any other aftermarket filter that I have seen before.

Overall impressed. They were £89.

Olly, they look very much like the K&Ns, but i add BMC`s are cheaper in price

Approx £50 each.

It HAS to be done. CF air, and de-cat and BMC filters = 400+ BHP.

So, can someone explain what is the difference between the standard AMG air box and the Renntech one? Looking at the photos I don't see any difference apart perhaps at the back (thicker perhaps?) where the body fits over the MAF

I know, I do want the Renntech box but not too keen on their remap.

A De-cat and a West-Tuning remap is my next two modds, which should give me 400+bhp & if I get the Renntech box at a reasonable price then it's a bonus but only you can sort that out for me.. :)

Renntech box looks the nuts

I dunno if it was in addition to the other mods too :thumb:

Renntech say 15-20bhp from this airbox with their remap, but it's allot of money for that much power, a decent remap could get you more power.

They normally won't sell it alone, they provide it with a remap only.

Olly would know more.

The difference is mainly heat soak and the shape of the itake is very much different.

Love that Airbox :D how much is one Olly ?

£1100+vat including the re-map as a package.

Looks nice!-i presume they have to be "cleaned" after a certain mileage:thumb:

I am going to clean them every 10k.

I will see what I can do.
