Bogus Service books stamped to order.

Not Duplicate One (If You Lost Your Original One You Get A Duplicate Copy From Mercedes Main Dealer With 'Duplicate' Print On Every Page, People Will Question Your Vehicle's Integrity)

Muppet!

BTW
my new-old E class service history is bit less than patchy.
Can I speak to Mercedes about service history and maybe duplicate service book?
How does it work?

you need to speak to the national office first and then they will tell you where its been serviced... then you will have to get the book stamped by each of those dealers individually.

As a UK member I've reported the seller on eBay. Not that just me reporting it would do the trick, but if others do the same they may take action.

Looking at his feedback & Other Items this bloke has a thriving cottage industry in manufacturing bogus service books for many different marques, MB included.

How can ebay let this continue?

Because they only care about getting their fees?

I doubt eBay will care... MBUK might, but eBay wont...
Not sure that is necessarily true. I reported a seller of two fake watches who was being vague about their origin (i.e. that they were fakes) and the listings were pulled.

I've dropped a report on this one and reposted in another petrohead forum.

If members from here with eBay accounts report it they might do something as it won't just be one or two people I suspect.

We've been through this before.

The irony of this is, unlike your watch dealer selling fake watches, the seller of these service manuals is not misdescribing what He's selling or misrepresenting it in any way. In fact He's being quite open about it.

EBay care about one thing, fees, they only pull what they absolutely have to or anything that will cause them bad press. Other than that, it's a free for all. Oh and don't get me started on PayPal....what a shambles that lot are.

I've reported these before, ebay weren't interested at all.

eBay won't touch it because the seller is doing nothing wrong.

It would be illegal to buy one and use it to boost the value of your car but just owning it for "posterity" is like having show plates for your car.

You can get them made but they are illegal to use yet they are still being advertised on eBay.
