Espace - Steering Lock. £250. Shock Absorber £150. Owned three years
E320CDi. Too many to remember... Steering 'widget' £400. Ball Joints £200 Bearing £100 Injecter £200 and more... Owned 6 painful months
W302 C320 cdi MK2. Port inlet shut off motor. £450. Oil Leak £? Owned ten months.
Saab 9-5 Throttle body £350, screw for turbo actuator £1 Owned 1 year
Volvo S80 Nothing. Owned six months.

mmm? not really considered that. Not sure why.

I suspect that I'm heading back towards Espace land. Also considering a Disco, but would only be the TD5 which is thirsty for the few times that 4x4 would be useful.

Fancy a change, and preferably one that will see the kids in my car less.

I don't know if it's of any interest to you but a very good friend of mine is selling his black 2005 X5 3.0d Sport? It's had a BMW warranty for all of it's life, so it's been very well maintained...

I think it will be above my budget, depending on what the c320 is worth... Not looking ti put more money into cars at the moment

He's confirmed it's leaking, but can't see from where exactly. Mechanic is back on his own and does not have time to strip it back.

So it's relocating tomorrow to another mechanic who's an mb commercial specialist.

Tis a pain...
