Brabus W124 suspention

Any idea.
What sort of ride height would that give and is it a competant DIY job?

That should be around 30-40mm drop, maybe aka$h can confirm as I think he had them on his coupe
The shocks are not so hard but you'll need the right tool for the springs

my coupe is lowered already but I have no idea what units they used silver shocks and blue springs. So it would be nice to change thema nd know what has been used.

It's not clear from the advert what model they're for; Saloon or coupe, 4 cylinder or 6.

Not sure Brabus did any 4 cyl ones,AMG did though.Saloon or coupe would not make much difference, would it?

How low is it,say compared to other coupes?Silver shocks might be KAW

I've just asked the seller, and will post when I get a reply :)

The part number on the yellow spring does have "104" in it, so maybe it's for M104 engined cars....or does it not work like that? :dk: :o

You learn something new everyday :thumb:

It may be a coincidence but the front springs have 104 in the part number. Could confirm that it is for 6 cylinder.

Sorry just spotted the earlier post, please ignore this one!!

The mystery continues.....

I received a reply from the seller, and it translates exactly as follows:

"I don't really know"

So, I've requested a complete part number for the item, that I can hopefully cross reference with MB UK or even Brabus.

I admit that I'm VERY tempted myself ;)

Darren: I'll check the numbers on my Brabus springs and report back

No way will they fit both 4 and 6 cylinder cars.
The coupe is lighter in the back than the saloon as well so they are (should be) quite specific to which model they're for.
There's only so much height adjustment possible with spring pads.

Part numbers

The seller managed to give me these part numbers:

124 100 200 AB
124 100 100 AB
124 104 100 VA
124 200 100 HA

Does this help identify which model they are for?

Darren

From Howards post it would seem these are the same numbers as the ones I had on my car. I just wonder if anyone can remember bustergasket having different ones for 4cyl nad 6cyl models?

Well I lost out on this item.
It went for 905 EUR (~£760), which was far too much to be honest, even if it is rare Brabus suspension.

Thanks for the replies to the my specific questions :)
