brake pad wear query?

if a full set of pads were fitted at the same time, which pair would usually need replacing first? the front or the rears? is there a standard bias?

Fronts wear out at least 2-3 times faster than rears, the rear brakes do very little work as the weight is transferred forwards when braking.

cheers Jimmy, my current fronts have lasted 18k, looks like the pair of front pads I got for £20 will come in handy. hopefully won't need rears yet!
