My car flashed this message up yesterday . I showed up twice but hasnt shown up again yet . The message also flashed up last summer , and no codes where logged in the car .
Has anyone gotten the SBC pump replaced latley ?
I contacted MB Ireland and there no longer covering the pump replacment , there only given 50% good will at best . The full price is 1800 euro , or about 900 with goodwill .
Is this the same policy in the UK ? or has anyone gotten the units reprogramed ?

First job is to see if it's had the update via STAR which will extend the hours at which the pump will say it's knackered.

Cheers , ive had the car on STAR in the past few months and it never looked for any updates , I must connect it a see whats in there .
The message has gone for now

Hi my local dealer reprogrammed a sbc pump on a customers cls foc for me.

It would seam that MB Ireland are no longer replacing the pumps FOC and have not been for about 12 months . They are charging 1800 euro for a new pump and at best a 50% good will gesture , that sills leaves a balance of 900 euro .
I have checked E bay and theres OBD type devices that claim to reset the pump and extend the running time , it ost around 300 euro . I think I will go with this option if the car shows the message again . In the short term Im gonna try to sell this money pit .

Hi would you please let us know how you go on, only not seen any thing that can programme sbc pump.
