Brakes not very Merc?

I’m having concerns about the front brakes on my S210 E320 100k wagon, they are new but they are ropy, there is a intermittent judder that comes and goes, but mostly it is difficult to stop smoothly, i.e. one often come to a stop with a jerk. The pads also look like they also run to the edge of the disk which is unusual.
My question is this problem any one else has seen, is it a disk/pad combo mismatch? I have no problem replacing the disks and pads but I don’t want to end up with the same problem! Any one had this problem with Merc, Ate, or Brembo parts?
New tyres, wheel alignment just done & new brake juice.

Never had any problems like this. I always buy brake parts from MB - ask them for a discount and you will be surprised they are no dearer than Euro CP.

Is this a symptom of air in a brake by wire system?
