Abit of a Spruce up

Just had a quick spruce up around the engine bay tonight, Megs Rubber dressing on the plastics, Mirror bright on the painted surfaces, Small brass wire brush to remove any flies from the rad.

Exterior Detail,

Couldn't stop there, Did a exterior Detail with Megs Mirror bright, Sealed it off the the Megs Gold Paste Wax, Tried to get the Green in the Paint to show in the Pic's.

What a Cracking colour, Even bumped into "Merc63nut" tonight with his 2009 c63 estate, Cracking car went well to

I may get some stick for this from some, But hey i think Brutus looks Simply "smart" now and sedate, It's not new tbh as that was £275!This came from Germany and at the moment i just couldn't justify a new one after my Recent brake bill from Mb

So got it for half of that and fitted it tonight.

Be nice to see what the car looks like out of the garage but its raining atm so thats not gonna happen till the wkend, Then i can take some better pic's as the camera on my phone is shocking lol

IMHO all I'd do now would be some OE wheels when you come by a set at the right moment, and some way of toning down the cooler at the front (shame you can't dust it over in satin black or something )

Paint is looking good now too, wish I had the time to polish mine

Cough... £150 lol, Thanks peeps for the thumbs up, Yes wanted a more grown up look, Brutus is not standard as you guys know, There's no need to try and shout "ive got loads of hp" as It's always there when its needed, I'm also sure Mb had a good idea what they wanted the car to look like when they 1st designed it.

Re Wheels, I'm still undecided now the vib's are gone, I'm always on the look out for stuff but funds are very much limited for abit, I'm hoping the wife is not going to notice the grille for abit hahaha

Ha! No retrofits, I am only considering keeping the car for 2 years max. I may even sell it next Summer yet.

Engine Covers!

Following on from my Bodywork thread, And of course Help from Alps, I bought 2x New Engine bay covers and fixings from MB Colchester,

Total Bill £64.37 inc vat.

It was a Direct fit, And since Brutus is one of the 1st e55k 211's (2002)they should fit every other from then on.

Absolute doddle to fit no drill or messing about simple plug n play lol
