It does sound awesome on boost, so i've been told lol. Power humm i've had alot of quick cars, i was told 560hp, but if i'm honest it's feels to me around 530hp ish, i dont know its so smooth, I did time it via a short vid, 70-120 was 4.5seconds. It doesnt let up , but i've never took it all the way round.

Hate to have to admit this... but in over 2yrs I have yet to floor the pedal completely. 1st you have to gather your senses as to what's happening(even though you were expecting it) but its when your absolutely bowling along & your sort thinking ah this is great, its at that point the car changes up & it all starts off again at an even more ridiculous pace. The scenery is coming AT you instead of the usual vision. Nah 3/4 pedal is still over old fart mode & is plenty for me...

Walk around vid for a interested Party, Please see my poor excuses for the way i sound and quality on the for sale thread doh lol

Immaculate w211 e55k aka Brutus

Can’t believe no-ones snapped this up Gav, I doubt there’ll be another E55K out there that’s anywhere near the condition yours is.

My pal still owns my old 7 seat S211 E55K with the Brabus brakes if you want me to have a word about doing a deal with yours?

Thankyou for your kind words SPX, I'm not worried in the slightest how long it takes just means it sits in to the garage getting polished longer, much to the wife's annoyance as she is jealous of it, apparently i love the car more than her doh.....

Not sure i could raise the extra amount id need SPX, Your old car looks a complete stunner!!!!!

Indeed can't be many E55k's out there as sorted as yours so strange someone hasn't parted with their hard earned.

I'm looking to get back into an E55k at some point but suspect it would need to be an S211 Estate. If I didn't have the QP I might have though about it but use an XC90 as my work horse & need to carry gear about often so the Estate makes better sense.

Looks & sounds fab. Shame I really should get an Estate!

I Think were probably abit out on a limb in Harwich tbh in East Anglia right on the coast, I know i had to travel few k's to view examples before buying Brutus. Timed the video just right, It rained all day shortly after lol

Hi Gav,

Have to agree the car looks lovely and clean.

For me distance is no object for the right car - indeed my own E55K was over 300 miles away, the other silver E55K I sold and even my previous CLK55 have all been from 180/250+ miles away. Hopefully other people in the market for a specialist car like that would travel a bit too, at least it’s on the UK mainland not a ferry trip etc for most people.

Personally I’d consider finding a set of the original wheels. I know your car is a little modded etc but for me I’d want the original wheels - just my own thoughts. You could always sell the others on to make a bit of money back?

Wait until Feb/March time when the weather picks up a bit and there’s more daylight and I’m sure you’ll have more interest too.

Best of luck with the sale :thumb:

Thanks Will, Always good to get feedback, i'm honestly in no rush to sell as there isn't anything out there at the moment that really grabs me,

Yep March is when it will be advertised elsewhere, I wanted ideally for it to go on the forum hence advertising it here first, It deserves a good home.

Re, Wheels there staying as they are as i personally just wanted it to stand out/apart over all the other stock cars out there as Brutus is far from Stock but didnt want to shout the fact. Also being New the car roll's along lovely and smooth that only new wheels can give. It simply drives like new.

Thankyou for all the kind comments and have taken it onboard just shame the quality of the vid doesn't do justice. :)

Exactly, people will travel more or less any distance for the right car.

Knowing that someone has looked after a car and done all the things required ot make sure it's good makes all the difference.

Just checking an MOT history on a vehicle can tell a lot as well as checking the make of tyres that are fitted.

Agreed with others here that distance is no barrier for me for the right car. I have travelled far and wide on many occasion. It is all part of the fun I guess!

What you looking to replace Brutus with out of interest?

I've travelled many miles for the "Supposed right car" but then got there and they haven't been as described, Like the Recent 500 mile trip to wales for a Vito, Fun, humm maybe but disappointing and leaving my wife with 5/6 children to look after whilst i do the miles is stressful, "for her" lol Which is also why i didn't mind doing the vid for the interested party.

Honestly something with 7 seats and a 3 pointed star lol, Thats about as much as i know, Hence i'm really not worried, it sounds daft i get just as much pleasure looking at Brutus in the garage as driving it on the odd occasion, But! i do miss being able to taking the whole the family out in a interesting car, The wife's X-Trail is so mundane and dull to drive.

Ideally would be a e55k Estate would have a Couple of k to put towards one. Or a GL cdi as i also like a big Diesel "YEP" strange i know lol, im a little scared of a m156 engineed E class , It would be slow compared to brutus and fragile, Unless someone could tell me otherwise.

Honestly i'm really not sure :/

Reminds me when I sold a TVR.
I set up a photobucket account & sent the password to potential buyers, I had 74 photo's & started off with 1 walk around Vid as yours. They then wanted specific areas , Ok fine...the guys came down & they were really nice . When he saw it he said "Wow , John its a beautiful car ...But its to Bra tz pink for me ...it was in Lamborghini Diablo SE30 , special colour at TVR. he said in the photos it looks less bright. I said sorry you had such a long journey for nothing. I guess it was a bit pinkish , but after 4 vids & 74 photo's yo'd have thought it would give you some idea that it was not fore the shy & retiring...Lol
Next guy on the phone, I picked him up from the station , blasted around , ended up at a nice pub, he drove back, straight to the bank bank transfer Job done 4 days later...he wanted it as it stood out for promotional work...???

I hope no one beats me to this car, i am the interested party and trying to source the money this month then i can spend more time on here getting involved in all things Mercedes.

I always travel for the best cars and this one is 150miles from my place but i am good with that.

When i sold my Uk spec manual Supra the guy who purchased it flew from Germany to London and then train to my place it took him all day , he then drove it home.
I gave him my sat nav to use and he posted it back to me after.
I won't say how much i sold it for because it makes me cry looking at what they are worth now :(

My last EVO5 i purchased was in Huddersfield which was a good drive and my wife Audi decided fail on the return journey with a broken gearbox
