Hope everyone has been keeping well, apologies for not posting for a while. Finally got Kerry's Smart Brabus that kept cutting out on her sorted out. Fitted a new gearbox actuator, it is a block that sits external to the gearbox and no further cutting out issues have happened since. Anyway I thought it would be a good idea to get her a new one as her's has just clocked 60,000 miles and it won't last forever at 12,000 miles a year. Plus I don't want anymore reliability issues.
Had a test drive of the new one, rides much better, more instant off the line but still laggy change which is a shame, Glass heated rear window is a good move. Ordered the car and was told end of November beginning of December for delivery. Then got a phone call last week to say it would be end of Jan/early Feb. Anyone else think this is rather a long wait ?.
Does anyone know where I might be able to source one quicker ?. Thanks for looking and very best wishes to you all, Graeme

Nice choice.

Does sound like a long wait for a car which I'd imagine has limited demand.

Smart Birmingham have a very lightly used new-shape Brabus in the showroom but not a cab I'm afraid. Looks great!!

thanks for that but no good putting Kerry in a Smart with a glass roof, she can't deal with the heat build up and wants to nod off whilst driving.

I think that lead time sounds about right, demand is massively outstripping supply at the moment on the standard cars, i can only imagine it's even worse on the Brabus models.

Dealers are buying stock from other dealers where they will let them go, so i imagine you will have to just wait for your factory order. I think the new ones look quite smart (excuse the pun) FWIW ;)

Just an up date. Wrang Colidale today as they have an ex demo (presumably) for sale with 4000 miles on the clock. Spoke to the salesman that I dealt with and he has a brand new car just pdi'd but customer has cancelled. Job done, she'll get it next week. Now anyone know who I can take it to to get the speed limiter removed. (or stabilisers as she calls it). Yes I know it invalidates the warranty but one has to abide by the other halves wishes ;)

We have seen 93 on a std car (84 pulse) with the limiter still in place. If you want a re-map Ian at BIG Performance can do them, he's Egham in Surrey.
