I'm hoping someone on here can help me out, please.

I know an option on the '124 series (saloons and coupes at least) was to have a 90 litre fuel tank. Does anyone know if this option decreased boot space? If so, by how much? (The reason I ask, because I'd like to know if a smaller boot carpet was available for '124s).

Also - and probably more straight forward - can anyone give me a price for new boot carpeting for the whole boot, and maybe a breakdown of the cost of each piece, please?
Or would it just be cheaper to get a car upholsterer to do it?

Many thanks,

Darren

My W124 has the 90 litre fuel tank and I have not noticed any compromise in the boot space, might have something to do with the fact that it is a saloon!

Many thanks grober, for the links. Incredibly useful! :)

However, the parts finder link doesn't seem to like any of the part numbers, without or without an "A" prefix, or indeed a "WDB" prefix

fnkhan: According to that parts link, there are different carpet sizes for 70 and 90 litre cars :)

I had a quick look on the Inchcape site and agree that most of the parts are flagged as unavailable . Possibly means there is no U.K. stock left? Your best bet is to contact them by phone to confirm what the supply situation is . Trim is often one of the first part types to become unavailable. Your only recourse then is the breakers yard if that is the case. Sorry.

Inchcape's site tends not to list parts that are colour specific, im sure the boot carpet will need a colour code, Ive seen boot carpet in dark and light grey and beige.
