C180 rough and then cuts out

Sorry but none of the previous posts semester to answer this so I have started a new one. I am happy to look at another thread if you know of one.
1.engine light came on _ no real fix codes cleared at garage
2. Started to almost cut out when stopping
3. I Think this is a different fault but gear selection at start is fairly random
4. Idle running rough then ok when warmed up
5. Car lost power on the way to the garage
6. Hoses seem ok running rough with noise in the engine
7. Local garage not sure what is wrong???
8. Any good indy in Lincoln (UK)

Sounds like an air leak.

Also does your car have an idle control valve, this might be stuck.

You need to read the error codes to get a starting point, any good garage would be able to do this.

Cam shaft sensor

Well the garage has confirmed that among the vast number of codes the most prevalent is the camshaft position.
As I need the car I am having to replace it I do not have time to repair. Anyone thinking this is an easy fix for them make me an offer and you can pick it up.
