Problem W124 M103 .Will only run if pumps are primed .And stpps

Mind you , if I look up a W124 260E , type 124.007 , I get different numbers again

here is the page for the tank and attachment parts

and the fuel strainer comes up as A 111 470 06 86 , which looks as though it may come with the seal ring as a kit , but otherwise the seal ring is A 110 997 01 45

The hose from the tank strainer is not clear on the W124 pages as the fuel lines drawing looks like it is for a Diesel vehicle ...

But we dont know for sure if the thread is the same ,And the rubber must be strong and the diesel hoses might not be .The hoses cost up to £200 cant buy one taking a chance it will fit . I thank you for your help,, but because it so close to holidays for the parts depot , i think it might best to call it a day until they are all back at work/ have a good one mate

Looking up now for a 190E 2.6 , the strainer comes up as A 201 470 05 06 , which I believe was the number you quoted earlier ,

that was from this page

The strainer to fuel pump hose comes up as A 201 470 38 75

from this page

Those are scary prices . I certainly didn't pay anything like that for the hose I bought .

the one listed for the 190E 2.6 , which matches up to the strainer you originally quoted is priced on there at 49 euros .

Best to leave it all until next week

I fear that we're faced with prices like that. My strainer was in my stock and pretty cheap as I bought it a whie ago. I also bought a TruckTec hose for the strainer to pump and it looked good. But I landed up getting MB original hoses at way over 100€ each. One or more came from Pelican Parts in the US.

So, yes, it can be costly. I used Pierbug pumps, MB hoses (including the rigid one), Bosch accumulator and MB filter. Working well.

Next item is the little filter (is it a filter?) in the return line. Got one in stock but pretty tricky to get at, I fear. Even on my son's 4-post lift.

Anyway, the priority this weekend is the daughter's Kia with a leaky washer bottle/pump/bung. We hope it's the pump and/or bung as the Kia/Hyundai originals have arrived, finally.

Thanks go out to all members , that were willing to help me, find these fuel parts == strainer , and strainer hose .
All sorted out now . I have a hose on the way [secondhand ] could not find new ones .Like the filter also NLA .And the same seller told me, he also had, he fuel filter ..
So may be in a few weeks time , once its done, i will be able to use the car .
All enjoy this Easter break 🌭🍔🍕🍖🥩🍾🍾🍾🍾

Just a little bit of information from my post above
As i found a good used fuel hose to pumps .Next is to get the strainer removed and drain off 1./2 tank of fuel .And hope the strainer will clean up ,as most tell me it will . So on the hunt for a new tank strainer seal .Its around 2-.5 inches diamiter thats a guess .Autodoc had them in , so i put 2 in the basket . Went to pay .I soon cancelled it reason- £8-35 postage and £3 secure delivery thats £11-35 before the seals are included .The cost of 2 seals are = £1-78 p total £13-13p- rip of world .
