It's funny, my brother had a C180K yesterday as a courtesy car too, whilst his E270 was being serviced.

He too was a bit unimpressed. Even more so when the A/C started spewing out what appeared to be dry ice and was in fact the refrigerant gas, because shortly afterwards it packed up. This on a 6000mile 06 plate car with black paint and black leather seats, with temperatures above 30 C.

ok...

Lets put it another way ..

If you think the C180k is slow , try an E220 CDI and you will soon learn what slow is !!

Anyway, I got a nearly new C180K Sport saloon as a courtesy car, Hmmm, not very impressed with it. Don't get me wrong, it's better than the usual Corsa you get and I am grateful to be offered a car at all.

But, I think this car is an emabarrassment to MB. It,s uncomfortable, bumpy, noisy and slllooooooowwww!!

.
Well,what have we got here?

A badge-engineered MB assembled in South Africa,by a part-owned American company,with a Japanese engined-Mitsubishi powerplant...

Hardly the "engineered like no other ", product we`re led to believe is it?

I haven't driven one , but I'm sure you would revise your opinion if you tried something like a W123 or W115 200D , or a Ponton 180D .

Some of these cars had a top speed of only 70 or 80 mph and a 0-60 time well over 20s !
