c230k sport, any good?

Im gong to look at a mint 1998 (s) c230k sport tomorrow,are these any good? its done 89000 miles, fsh and its up for £2500 Any info or opinions please. cheers, Gary

They are great fun cars to drive. Just make sure everything works and no nasy knocks from the suspension. Also check for rust. They do suffer.

Damn, that is an awesome price.

I recently got one and love it (though it is the avantgarde model). However I got mine for £3,450, and it was far from mint, also with more miles...maybe i paid too much.

Oh well, for that price it's a great car.

Indicating that it is a newer body type, W203 rather than W202 so will command a higher price.

hey, they're a great car mate, have had mine a few months now and i love it. Great car to drive, both as a relaxed cuiser or if you wanna push it a bit more. Just check all the usual stuff for a car of its age, rust etc, have good look at the supercharger, wiper, and see if the MAF meter has gone, but if it drives on fine it shouldnt be an issue.

Great car, very good fuel consumption compared to its performance, and if its a manual, you are possibly getting mercedes' best driver's car of its era.
