C240 Drive Belt

Evening All,

Has anyone come across this before.

On Father-in-law's C240, there is a horrendus oil leak coming from between the oil filter housing, and the heat exchanger that bolts to the side of it. Result is that oil has leaked all over the poly belt, and the belt has come off.

I have resealed the heat exch/ oil filter, and cured the leak. The belt has slipped off again. I'll get a new belt in the am as I fear it has become saturated with oil.

Anyone come across this before?

I assume you changed the 2 seals 17+23 which should cure the problem.

Yes changed both, cost £30!!

FIL id off to get a new belt in the am.

Fingers crossed...
