I have a 97 C240 sport, got a slightly annoying problem
The drivers electric window does not work although others are working fine, adding to this the electric mirror on the drivers door cant be adjusted either altough the passenger side can
BOTH wing mirrors will fold in so I know it isnt all the electrics in the drivers door
Can anyone tell me what the problem is, so i dont have to pay ££££ incase its a simple fault

Try pulling the fuses (in both fuse boxes) for the windows & replace them after a short while.
I had this with my 98 c250td around xmas last year.
If they start working again after removing and refitting the fuses they may be ok or stop at some time in the future.
Again mine did this. I eventually found it to be a faulty rear door window controller (strangely that rear window always worked on my car), so I unplugged it (the plug is behind the trim between the doors in the wiring channel) and all has been ok so far. I haven’t even tried fixing it yet as I'm waiting for some warmer weather and lighter nights.

It may be the same problem that I have had with my CLK. It will be to do with the door controller. First try removing the fuse and leaving it out for 5 mins, if this works then great.
If not, it may well be the door control unit which does the mirror, the window and in mine the electric seat.
