Hi im also considering c250 or even a e250 what are the pros and cons which will be better and any other advise please

C - small

E - bigger

:)

250 engine is a good one in both body-shells - powerful and frugal, but a bit clattery.

You're better off test driving and checking them out in person. See what you think.

Lol does the e class come with flappy paddled? Seats look different

E Sport auto has the paddle shifter but like I said, you cant use it like a proper manual as it will automatically change gears based on 'appropriate' speeds

You can switch the 'box in to Manual mode but its not exactly as it states.

Hi has the e class also had a facelift like c class and what year is it on?

C class every time much better seats

Yes the seat seem to be better am so confused c250 or e250 shouldnt of looked at the e class the front of the coupe looks soo nice but its the interior of the c class sport looks so nice too

About 9000

It's mostly a size difference - but that affects not just the space, it also affects the chassis, ride, handling etc as well.

There's an interesting comparison of a c350d v e350d here:

http://www.mbclub.co.uk/forums/gene...di-v-e350-cdi-confessions-loan-car-pilot.html

which although not directly answering your question as the engine is different - it may give some clues as to some of the differences between the 2 models.

So which models, exactly, are you comparing? C-Class saloon, estate or coupe and E-Class what? The difference between the E-Class saloon and the E-Class Coupe is pretty much as big (but for different reasons) as the difference between an E-Class saloon and a C-Class saloon so it's impossible to comment without knowing.

If you tell people what cars you're looking at and what sort of usage pattern you intend (e.g. you plus your SO only, or a family with three kids and a dog) they may be able to help you understand the differences that are likely to be important to you, but the decision as to which is "better" will be yours, I'm afraid.

Hi im looking at c250 cdi or cgi and e250 cdi and cgi ... am i right in thinking the back window of the e250 goes down aswell? And is there a facelift model on the e250?

Saloon? Coupe? Estate?

C class c250 4 doors edition 125 petrol or diesel

E250 coupe edition 125 if there is one petrol or diesel

OK, we got there in the end

Apart from the obvious difference in terms of number of doors(!), one is a "compact executive" (i.e. a well appointed family car with a prestige badge) and the other is a luxury coupe. The interesting bit is that they're both built on the same platform, so are similar - though not the same - in size and driving dynamics. Forget any comparisons you've read of the C-Class and E-Class saloons as they're meaningless when it comes to the E Coupe.

If you need 5 seats, even occasionally, then the E Coupe is a non-starter due to the rear bucket seats, but I guess that you've worked that much out already. Prior to the facelift on the W204 C-Class I would have said that the E Coupe's interior felt much nicer, but I don't think that's really the case now on basic spec cars: it's only once you start loading up the E Coupe with options that the difference becomes pronounced. Don't get me wrong, the Coupe's interior is a nice place to be, but the facelift C-Class is very, very, close. The E Couple will cost you more to buy, but is likely to depreciate marginally less, so the cost of depreciation over three or four years of ownership may end up similar.

Ultimately, you'll be trading style and luxury of the E Coupe against practicality, versatility and keener pricing of the C Class saloon. You really need to drive both and decide which features are important to you.
