C250 turbo faulty?

Is there anyway of testing it?

It's a piezo variable resistor, so you could check the return voltage under varying pressures. It sees boost so use upto 1 bar or so.

Pin 1 is the variable wiper and pis 2 and 3 are the fixed potential feed. I've not got the ECU pi outs but 'think' pin 6 and 45 are the feed and pin 22 the variable return.

I have tried measuring the resistance between all 3 pins whilst pumping the tube with a bicycle pump but none of them vary - I guess that means the sensor is kaput?

If I get the codes read by a STAR machine or equivalent - would it show which components are faulty?

Hey There!

Just wanted to know if you ever managed to get to the bottom of this issue you had with your merc?

Hi, no I didn't really.
I sold the car to my father who found a split pipe going from the turbo to the intercooler (or somewhere I'm not sure)
He had lots of other problems with it so wasn't that bothered asbout the turbo :(
