Hi everyone.
My c300h has started hesitating between first and second gear with what I would call a "dip" as it changes. tHe dealer says it's a software problem and is safe to drive until I can get it in for updating. Anyone else have the same problem?

Hi,I had the auto box software updated at mercedes poole where I bought the car 2 weeks ago, took around 2 hours and I waited while it was being done, car drove perfectly home,I knew about the issues with the auto box on these w205's before I bought, mine was jolting from 1st to second,2nd to 3rd and from 3rd to 2nd(mainly in traffic in either comfort or economy mode and when switching between electric and diesel mode)My car was also labouring(hanging on to 5th at around 33 mph)in comfort/economy mode which made the car vibrate slightly through the cabin before changing back down to 4th-get your car booked in for the software update, you will notice the difference:cool:

Hi, thanks. I'll get it booked in. I had convinced myself it was mechanical.

It's a gearbox control module update, nothing mechanical and OK to drive until it's carried out.

It's in this Friday but now it's banging when going up or down the lower gears and jolting. If its a software issue why did it wait until it had 1000 miles on the odo before starting. That's the c63 gone because it was full of niggles and I can see this going the same way! Back to range rover next.
