But am I right in saying the 231Bhp and the 265bhp have a different block something to do with linings or something so the heat within the block is dissipated quicker ???? and that's why you get more power from the later engine. I did speak to AMD Essex (only 5mins from my house) about mapping and they said that both engine were the same but that is wrong

I believe you are getting mixed up with petrol C320 @ 3498cc and 268bhp and diesel C350CDI 2987cc 231 & 261bhp according to year?

The 350CDI have the same capacity and engine as the 320CDI but different map and probably hardware also injectors etc.?
