C350e anyone considering one?

I understand your appreciation of power but coupled with an Eco friendly hybrid I can't see the point of using 600nm of torque except perhaps on one occasion just to experience the sheer power :)

To be honest with the disappointing mpg (I'm getting 36 - 38mpg) on longer runs the power has become more of a selling point to me! (As a private lease all the company car benefits aren't a selling point!)

Now if only the Sports+ suspension and steering were a little firmer I'd be happier to make use of the performance more often on twisty roads :)

On a different note I've spotted that the 'How Many Left' site has been updated to the end of Q3, total of 128 C350e's on UK roads by the end of September. https://www.howmanyleft.co.uk/?utf8=✓&q=c350e

Hi,
First few photos, haven't really driven yet still using the C200 loan vehicle Mercedes supplied due to mine being later than planned, 9 month wait but certainly worth it.

7 week review

Have been lurking around on the forum for about 9 months and got my car in November after around 8 months.

I think after about 7 weeks of driving my thoughts are virtually the same as some of the recent posts, namely straight line speed is phenomenal, fuel consumption is awful and I'm averaging mid thirties at best and even worse if I use the charge mode when in comfort setting.

Handling on twisty roads isn't great in my opinion even in sports mode as the steering still feels detached from the road but is a great car as a motorway cruiser.

Mines a company car but if I'd bought this myself based on the quoted economy figures I would be livid:wallbash:

The larger wheels push up the tax from a BIK perspective but I think they look so much better than the standard 17" wheels in my opinion :D

Interesting that your wheels leave me as cold as my own do. I am quite happy to leave the style to the designers. Only ever look at them to judge if they need cleaning or if they have suffered kerbing. How do others view their wheels I wonder ?

Reading all posts C350e related with interest. New to the forum. Ordered mine mid Nov, been told due May, although could of had April slot if I changed from Brilliant Blue. Can't wait for it to come and lose the awful A5 that the lease company have given me in the interim.

My perspective on the wheels is that the 17" alloy is OK in terms of filling the wheel arches etc. but the shape and design of the car goes better with the 18's...... Would have loved the 19"s you can get on the AMG models!

I personally opted for the 18's because the 17" alloy design reminded me to much of the alloys I used to have on my 1992 Orion Ghia..... But there is virtually no protection of the alloy rim by the tyres.

The other thing which has been mentioned by others is the grabby brakes, I would concur on this point, my experience is that they seem smooth when braking from high speeds and could stop the car on a six pence, but when coming to a stop at low speeds around town they aren't as smooth and it seems to be all or nothing.......this may improve with bedding in I guess.

"Glad" to see other people are getting similar mpg. My daily commute is only 8 miles so I hoping to offset the occasional long motorway run with lots of short eco runs

It's a bit of a shock after a 1.6 diesel golf!! Power and interior offsets it though.
Plus I can stand and stare at it for hours :)

I think the numbers will be ramping up, if just based on my place of work as I know about 10 people who have/ have ordered one. Need to get some chargers installed!

Hi all. Eagerly awaiting delivery of my c350e. Ordered in June and have a vague delivery date of "early January" from NHS fleet car solutions. They promise me their predicted dates are usually accurate.... I will believe it when I have the keys.

I have ordered an estate in tenorite grey. Anyone else with this colour mind putting some photos up? Half regret the colour choice as the brilliant blue looks..... Er..... Brilliant!

At last my wait is over an I finally took delivery of my blue beauty this morning. I'm very happy with it so far and can't wait to put it to a lengthier test.

I've already been to the dealer to have the connected services activated and had no problems getting all but the maintenance services enabled even though it's a Lex vehicle. I could also have selected the maintenance functions too but see no need.

BB is such a stunning colour. Can't wait until summer to see these in the sun!

Recently took delivery of mine. Prem plus in Cavansite blue. NHS Fleet Solutions
updated me every fortnight via automated email and were spot on. Ordered May and took delivery as planned mid December. Very helpful once we got close to delivery providing me with details of options freeze dates and shipping etc. as provided to many others on here.

Great the first BB Saloon Pic i've seen on 17s. Actually the 17s don't look too bad on that colour.

Anymore pics will be great

Great! Hopefully I will have the same experience with the dates etc. Have you managed to get the connect features working? If so, did you do this via NHS fleet, direct lease company, or just direct to dealer?

Thanks

Its a shame about the emissions and company car tax going above 49g otherwise I would have gone 18's.

Strange how the VW Passat and Golf GTE got just 39g on 18's. I guess after recent events we all know how !!

Battery power on Passat & GTE is over twice that of the MB which is why the emisions are so low on 18's as battery power contributes more whilst on test. GTE can also be tuned to 300bhp which is why I ordered one over the MB and the fact it was also half the price of the MB

The GTE has a 9,9 kwh battery, the c350e has a 6,2 kwh. That’s totals, not the usable kwh.
I’ve tested both several times, in different weather conditions.
The c350e is more expensive in many ways, but the driving experience difference in my opinion is like night and day.

I´m original a BMW man, and therefor I wanted to test a lot before ending my decision.
OK the economy is on Outlander and Passat, but for my case driving experience and comfort is a 80% vector.

New GTE has 11kw and motorsport version 15kw of which you can map to use 95% not the normal 80% useable on standard. Still under the magic 49 number.

Different car I agree but what I saved on my GTE went to buying my Audi R8. Golf is good enough for me as a daily doing 30 - 40 k a year for the next three years. R8 Will be my weekender and the Brabus CLK relegated to standby in case I get issues so it can come into play as a daily.
