C350e anyone considering one?

Hello! May I ask if anyone knows whether any of the government grant eligible EV charging points are smart enough to automatically charge the vehicle at a prescribed time, for example during off-peaks hours when electricity costs are lower? The Schneider one seems to do this, but it is not clear how much it costs...

Hi, we have a second car in a Nissan Leaf Tekna 2015 model, our Leaf allows you to set the timer on when you want the car to charge from and to, ie. Inline with economy 7 electric or the like via the satnav headunit touch screen. I would imagine Mercedes will have a similar system in the car itself to allow you to set times it is to take a charge. Personally, we have never used it, all we do is plug car in at night, and by morning its ready to go, switches itself off once fully charged so no issues there!!

Finally got a provisional delivery date - 19th February 2016 to dealer so should get my hands on it on 25th February - 38 weeks to the day after ordering - 266 days so about the same time as having a child.

Having read all the positive feedback I can't wait for the 75 days to go by

Just had a call from the dealer, they're delivering next Tuesday. I can't wait. I work in Bristol and normally try to avoid meetings in our other office in Hatfield. However I have one on Wednesday and can't wait to drive up!

That's the one! Soon to start with a B. I went for a saloon, premium plus in solid black with silk beige artico and no extras. I think mine may be the first c350e in this office, I haven't noticed any others although there are a few C class.

I bet I'm still not going to enjoy the drive that much, but relatively speaking it will be comfy.

It was mid-May when I ordered, so 7 months from order to delivery.

Yep. I ordered Estate with Artico Crystal grey, premium plus. noticed that the lease went down after I ordered in July so put some extras on. It went from 100 over to 10 under the limit !!!

My estate is dispatching on the 17th Dec, been waiting 9 months now, I have a Rolec being fitted next week and I've read all I can and looked at every photo and trawled for video. Now at the point of a kid at Christmas excitement

The original quote would have been without the grant. I only found out a few weeks ago, so it's money saved for me, I would have probably gone with a non-solid colour in hindsight but never mind. It went from the same price as a C220d sport to £60 cheaper!

Mine is coming a day after the lease company's estimated delivery date.

For those drivers who have their car via Lex, I was wondering how much of a gap there was between the advised stock date and the actual delivery date?

The stock date currently showing for my car is the 5th January, so I'm hoping for a fast turnaround by the dealer so that I can at last experience my C350e.

Less than a week for me. As soon as it arrives in stock, Lex get in touch to arrange delivery.

Thanks JP350e. Fingers crossed they can turn it around for the end of that week. I had a stem cell transplant 3 years ago and my 3rd anniversary is the 10th January. I can't think of a better way of celebrating my 're-birthday' than having my new car to drive!

So far only a 8 mile drive back to work in it, but the way my colleagues are looking at it, I made the right choice!

After a lot of deliberation I went for: Saloon, Premium Plus, Brilliant Blue, 18s, dark ash and 360 cameras.
Got a run through with the dropper off and lots to have a play with!

That's not a bad delivery. Mine was ordered through Lex on the 27th May so you've done well for the delivery to come forward.

Brilliant Blue seems to be a popular choice - same as mine when it hopefully arrives in the new year.

New to the forum as again I received my car today. White premium plus and really happy except the drivers door wont shut smoothly you have to slam it to shut. Will have to have a conversation with my lease company tomorrow. Shame really as it spoils what is a beautiful car.
