C350e anyone considering one?

Is there any difference between MY15 and MY16 models?

My understanding is that the MY16 versions lose the chrome elements in the lower left and right grilles on the front, and the chrome strips off the rear bumper, just next to the wheels.

There's also the model naming, which has the "e" added instead of "Plug in hybrid".

I believe there are also some small tweaks to Comand which will display some info on g-forces etc within one of the menus. (That's based on a test driver from South Africa I follow on Instagram)

I'm sure I've missed other stuff?

And I think the mirror indicators lack some chrome on the MY16, hardly noticeable.

main changes are the chrome element on the grill, which in my opinion looks nicer..

The cars are not US press cars as they were LHD, these are UK demos, guess using the MY15 build... some of the already delivered dutch cars are MY15's / MY16 mix.

Feeling slightly pleased with myself. Have a confirmed order for a C350e Premium Plus with all the options - Obsidian metallic, Distronic Plus, HUD, 360 camera, leather, intelligent lighting, plus some more options for £ 34k and yet Synter's are looking for £ 35k without the options !

Congratulations indeed, seems a remarkably good deal :)

Is it thought that the images used in the C Class brochure published by Mercedes 1st April 2015 is representative of the 2015 or 2016 car ?

Is that before the government grant?

On my lease docs my car (C350e saloon, metallic paint and premium plus) is coming in at £32k, but £27k after the government grant. I haggled a little on the monthly cost, but obviously not on the overall figure with it being a lease, but seems a hefty discount when the car is in such short supply?

The photos on the below PDFs 1st June are reflecting the my16 changes, limited photos in fairness of a sport.

I was interested in what might be a name change from 350e to perhaps 350 H as indicated in this English translation of part of the article linked above.
Another big change is the new nomenclature of the types of drives:

"D" for "diesel" (previously BlueTEC and CDI)
"E" for "electric" (previously Plug-in HYBRID, BlueTEC plug-in hybrid and electric drive)
"H" for "hybrid" (previously HYBRID and BlueTEC HYBRID)

The vehicles of the new model year will roll from the beginning of June 2015, the Bremen production plant. Customers drop their vehicles in the current transitional period, be treated generously and get partially free a more facilities to deliver at least the old standard stand. This affects all of 07/04/2015 ordered W / S 205 to be delivered until June!

Key Changes: Model Year 2016 (from June 2015 production on Saloon & Estate)

New nomenclature for entire C-Class range
Seat Comfort package added as standard on all lines
Executive package now including Active Parking Assist with PARKTRONIC Upgraded Driving Assistance package
All 18” wheels now without run flat-tyres
Further options simplification
Agility select becomes Dynamic select
Chrome trim on mirrors becomes black
Chrome trims under front bumper and on rear go
Chrome trim on speaker surrounds on standard interiors go to black
Model Year 2016 vehicles can be identified by the code 806
Inflationary price increase of £395 inc. VAT (£260 inc. VAT for Mercedes-AMG models)

Full PDF to come. can't upload at present.

My order total list price is £ 45k less £ 5k Grant and then £ 6k discount. I am part-xing my 14 CLS with an agreed price based on a 1st Sep deal. I am expecting the date to go out and then them dropping my CLS price like a stone so they can get the overly generous discount back or I walk away. They keep saying build is Aug, delivery into UK port 23rd Aug and 1st Sep registration.

As of June 15th....

current delivery lead-time on new orders for the C 350 e Saloon and Estate in excess of nine months.

falls outside of the parameters set by the Office for Low Emission Vehicles (OLEV) to guarantee payment of the Plug-in Car Grant.

any new orders taken are without applying the Plug-in Car Grant.

current delivery lead-time on new orders for the C 350 e Saloon and Estate is Quarter 1 2016.

Paraphrased.

Just had a quick look at the 'configurator' and a Premium Plus with metallic is about £ 41k so after the grant its £ £36k so a price of £ 27k is £ 9k discount which is extrodinary when there is 6 months waiting list. Just as well the BIK is only 5% as you'll be taxed at £ 41k not the £ 27k !

I am intrigued no end . How did you achieve such a discount ? Has the dealer produced a printout of the freeze date etc ?

[QUOTEOne thing in there, the no cost option alloys on the Sport spec, 80R, what were these? They look like the normal ones?][/QUOTE]

Yes I'm confused about that, I have ordered the 18s as a cost option if I recall so need to check out.
