C43 amg gearbox options and availability

Guys i think my gearbox is on its way out on my w202 c43

Takes longer to change gears and sometimes slips out of gear when driving

So am looking into getting it replaced

So what are my options?
Are other gearboxes suitable?
If so which ones and does anyone have a box available?

Good luck finding a 43 box.
They are hard to come by.....

If its slipping then it can be repaired.

Hi,
Good second hand one rare as rocking horse poop.
According to the EPC the 43 AMG Gearbox is not fitted to any other MB others will fit BUT whether they would take the torque/power of the engine, or whether they would work with the 43s TCU correctly I can,t comment.
I would say your best bet is get the problem diagnosed definitively, possibly get the fluid level checked/changed with a new filter. Failing that get yours rebuilt, there is nothing fancy about the type of gearbox in the 43 and the parts are easily available, what ever you do get it done sooner rather than later as it might self destruct causing so much damage that it cant be repaired.

Re-build is the best option. It needs plugging in firstly.

I used Olly (BlackC55) to get my Gearbox and Torque Convertor refurbed, good price too.
It was perfect for 30,000 miles on a tuned 5.5 CLK engine indeed perfect right up to the time the car was written off
