C43 Tyre rubbing

Even a W210 with 225 on the front the tyres get very close to the wing. MO specification stops them rubbing.

Of course, whadda I know...

I ran 235/35/19 on the front of my 210 for years without any rubbing...
Tried Kumho, Continental, Michelin and finally Vredestein, none of them rubbed although extremely close to the top suspension arm thread.

The difference with MO tyres is indeed the tread is made narrower to avoid rubbing.

Fantastic design that, you must fit MO approved or you could cause rubbing to your vehicle, you would also think they would prefer to have a larger footprint in contact with the road rather than less, still they must know what they are doing. .

Well if you are stuck with the tyres then i would use a heat gun and slightly re-shape the inner arch liner.
