It's also reasonable to suggest that the C63 will not keep up with the C43 most of the time on UK roads. You could buy an MX-5 with the price difference if you want 'handling fun' at the weekend.
I agree c43 will be faster

He's pretty good, he can get it quite seriously sideways in my rear view mirror, definitely ten-tenths while I'm cruising into the distance! In fairness, he loves to blast past me when it's dry, though.......Ahhhhh your local m6 driver can't drive then
More women drive nowadays than in years gone by, helps them. Why do you think all the fastest cars are now AWD?
Porsche 918, McLaren P1, Lamborghini Aventador, Bugatti Veyron? Yep, real girlie cars....More women drive nowadays than in years gone by, helps them.
McLaren P1.
Funny though, how no one here has mentioned the elephant in the room. It's German, it's RWD, it can put more than 400bhp on the road even in the UK, and it's famous for its handling feel.Porsche 918, McLaren P1, Lamborghini Aventador, Bugatti Veyron? Yep, real girlie cars....
Oops, quite right, substitute Porsche 911 Turbo S, prolly the fastest real-world car. Still trying to get off the line cleanly in the Jaaaaaaag? The P1 is RMR...:fail
Do you even know cars bro? You sure you're not driving a Skoda Superb VRS?
Fair cop, A4 drivers do seem to have replaced 3-series as the tw4ts of the road these days. S7 cabin is same as S6, nice place to sit and now very relaxed with double-glazed front glass. Seriously, if you want noisy uncomfortable fun, a Caterham makes a lot more sense than an AMG, and you could then have a fast Audi for going quickly without fuss. My pick right now would be the S6/S7 (I would say that!), or for more sensible money and total practicality, the new A4 Avant with the 3-litre diesel. Always been a great car for going 500 miles seriously quickly in any road conditions, and stepping out fresh as a daisy. You don't get the snarly V-8 bragging rights of the C63 or M6, but you'll get there just as quickly.Don't know why we are talking about Audi's. Too boring. Although having just looked at pics of the S7 cabin, it looks better than the usual Audi offerings.
Plus, living in the South East, there is the problem of Audi drivers. (Not all I know, but it's a problem still.)

Perfectly put.I had a similar discussion as the one I'm having with you now with another Audi Quattro fan boi like yourself and after a bit of digging I found out that the fastest cars in the world (both top speed AND 0-60) are all rear wheel drive, iirc the top ten had seven or eight RWD and there were two or three AWD.
I do actually like the A7, but it'd have to be either the RS7 or the 3.0BiTDi, can't really see the point in buying half a shandy S7 when the Bi-Turbo diesel will do twice the mpg and be as quick in real terms.
Note that these figures are always taken in dry conditions on perfect roads, doesn't really apply to those of us in the UK. I guess the two or three you mention would contain some mix of the Nissan GT-R, Porsche 918, Lamborghini Aventador, and Bugatti Veyron. Back in the real world on UK roads, I have yet to see anything with more than 400 horses and RWD that can be driven at full chat without traction control shooting most of these horses most of the time, with the notable exception of hot 911s. I take your point about the RS6/7, but it's another £20k for very little extra speed in reality, and sorry, but I drove a Bi-turbo Allroad against the S7 and there was no comparison (the steering committee has always fancied an Allroad, but even she agreed that the S7 trampled it in every way). If you're in that market, I don't think mpg is the big factor, and I get more than 30mpg on long runs with the S7, I'm happy with that.I had a similar discussion as the one I'm having with you now with another Audi Quattro fan boi like yourself and after a bit of digging I found out that the fastest cars in the world (both top speed AND 0-60) are all rear wheel drive, iirc the top ten had seven or eight RWD and there were two or three AWD.

From reading occasional posts, I have an impression that some people just jump in the car, stomp on the throttle, see the triangle and come to the conclusion that nobody can drive a performance RWD car. I've driven a CL55 with north of 600BHP daily in any weather and had issues with traction that I can count on fingers of one hand. Sticky tyres and learning to drive is the key.

Did you really mean "prolly" or can you not spell "probably". Only asking because I see it so often and often wondered if that's how people think it's spelt.
