C55 amg vs e46 m3??

Thats nice figures posted BenzedUP, the standard C55 is great to do it at 13.2
The SLK in 12's! Surprised the DMS M3 doing 13.4 but traction from BMW M is always tricky at the 1/4 mile.

Yeah the C55 was really good, did have some track tyres though and some perfomance green filters, other than that it's totally standard!

Yeah to be fair to the m3 it did have some problems with traction but it's a big improvment than the 13.84secs and 14secs last time it did, hes getting a CSL airbox fitted soon too.

My slk was standard running on street tyres and everything...:D

will try and get hold of the video from my friend and show you guys..:)

Well done, any car in the 12s is fast. What were the trap speeds?

My last run was 12.7 @ 109.7, It’s hard to get a good consistent launch every time I ran I had a different time, lol.

I'm taking the car to West-Tuning for an ECU remap soon.

Very respectable ET/trap, I think my car was slower than that actually, I think I got a really good 60 and I went 12.6, cant remember now exactly.

Do it, Always hear good things about his work.

Let me know next time you go pod, I will join you.:thumb:

Yeah, West-tuning are really good, always go there;) will see if my car is standard or remaped as I have a feeling it's faster than standard...

I will deffo make the trip there again after I have it re-maped soon, will PM and let you know before I go..

yeah but the economy and residuals difference is massive!

The 335i's are worthless whereas the 335d's are very much sought after and, as you have said, can easily be tuned to throw out a lot more horsepower!

I wouldn't say that, the 335i is around 5mpg different to the 335d when both are auto, which is about 15%, and when I owned mine diesel had a 10% premium price wise so roughly the same to fuel. That has changed again now though, but not a massive amount in it.

I also sold my 335i touring in less than 24 hours, as buyers are waiting for them, loads of 335d's about to choose from, not such a choice of 335i's.

I bought my 335i the same week as a mate bought his 335d, both sport tourings and both the same spec. apart from his having Logic7 sound and Dab, I sold mine with 18k miles on it and he sold his with nearly 30k miles on his about 3 months after me, I got £32k for mine and he got £33k for his, so not really that much in it, his was over £1000 more than mine new due to the extra options.

Got to remember that some people just don't want a diesel.
