After jamming my CD changer and fiddling about in the glovebox trying to sort it, I found an aux socket.

Obviously this will take an ipod but being as it's in the glovebox isn't much good if you want track selection from the drivers seat. Is there a lead or any other way to get ipod control through the Comand system. Possibly a retarded question, but I'm new to the car and it's a bit of a tech-fest to me!:dk:

Yes. All you need is a Mercedes ipod kit. It will give you track/artist/playlist etc display in the instrument cluster with selection of tracks etc from the steering wheel.

Thanks - is that an expensive item, does it need professional fitting, or is it just a lead?

Its about £220 inc VAT. Its a kit not a lead and fitting is very straight forward in your car. It means the comand coming out though. There are DIY guides around.
