C63 507 Edition Wide arch project

Me again.

Some small updates!!!!!! The whole car has been finished in paint and now starting to go back together... Now don't be too critical yet guys, it looks like way too much green atm, but once all the black parts go back on and the glass goes back in it will look stunning.

I've also decided to keep the original factory Chrome trims, badges and emblems instead of wrapping them black as despite the car having a wide arch conv, I still want everything else to be factory finish where possible.

Here's some pics for you.
Thanks again for the interest guys

Aah Lee, you shoulda gone for wider arches. Black badges etc would have been a no-no. Naff against that paint. Shiny stuff is good.
Is this going to be a driver's car or a show car?

Looks fantastic. The contours of the bonnet are really highlighted by the colour. Nice!

dude.. How much wider do you want them... If they were any wider i think it would have been too much.
and yes my man, this is a drivers car, this is the main reason why o have gone for a ceramic clear coat to protect it. And it's being ceramic coated with a 10yr coating to further protect my investment.
As for shows, well it would be rude not to eh dude.

The " DUDE " is circa 70 years young so may not appreciate the whip.

Loving this! I think it's going to be amazing when it's all finished. Can't wait to see the final pictures

And this has to be worth 100BHP!!

Hey guys

Went back down today for a visual, the car is looking fantastic,
The calipers have been fitted back on the car along with new discs and pads.

New OEM windscreen fitted along with the rear OEM windows.

I also managed to Get a better pic of the engine bay... And realised that the suspension mounts were still silver, so they are being painted satin black to blend into the engine bay.

Next up is for a final 3 stage paint correction to ensure a flawless finish, then the remaining trims, badges etc can go back on.

Fingers crossed we are looking at collection next weekend.

Fantastic! Lee, the cars looking awesome! :) Can't wait till it's finished. :D

The filter covers are a complete surprise. Bling but restrained to one area. I really like that - a lot. Imagine what your service mechanic thinks when he pops the bonnet for the first time and sees that.

Looks amazing!

Without putting a downer on it, is there adequate weatherproofing on those new arches?

hey fella.

yes.. More than factory now.
the arches have been primered, sealed with Rocket, then new arch liners go over that into the new extended arch

haha.. They are gonna hate me now, i wouldn't want to be the mechanic that scratches any new paint

I don't think any mechanic will be willing to service your car. They rather not risk scratching the paint than have your business.
:(

Almost done.... we still have some bits to do.
wheel alignment, final trims, side decals and wing badges etc.

Cant wait to see the car, but collection has now been delayed till next weekend due to severe adverse weather.
