I have owned this great car for a couple of weeks now and am really enjoying it. Just returned from a long weekend away in Somerset and loved its sound and effortless overtaking ability!

One thing I am finding difficult to adjust to are the bucket seats, which look superb, but for me are just too uncomfortable for long journeys, although bearable for shorter journeys.

This is probably because I am a big guy (6ft plus and 18 stone) and not built for the snug fit of these seats! Is it possible to retrofit a more comfortable aftermarket seat such as Recaro for example, taking into account the existing air bags and location of the seat adjustment buttons on the door?

Thanks!

I found the C63 to be the same. Very narrow at the shoulders. Currently have an SL55 and find them much better.

Have you tweaked the settings of the 'wings' and lumbar pads, using the buttons on the seat?

You might find the seat a bit more comfortable in a slightly different position if you also shift where the wheel is, to allow a different seat height and fore-and-aft location

Yes, I have tweaked all of the settings including the wheel, wings, lumbar pads etc. The seats are fine for short distances but on a road trip of a couple of hours plus, they start to become uncomfortable. I really like the car so am looking at changing the front seats to something a bit more comfortable, such as from the Recaro Comfort Line range.

I was just wondering whether this sort of 'upgrade' is feasible with this model of car, given the airbag setup and positioning of the controls for the electric seat adjustment?

Thanks.

Sounds an interesting idea if the seats aren't ideal for you.

Only had mine for under a fortnight so far and not included and sensibly long journeys.

Regards
