C63 Deals

Thanks David, I am back in the UK on Tuesday and if it is OK with you I will drive down and meet you on Wednesday. I would rather negotiate face to face. Any idea on the lead times?
I have a couple due in September and they would attract the best deals as I need a few cars to help me reach my target. So I'll give you a few options then. I'll be in on Wednesday so just come into the showroom and ask for David the General Sales Manager (we have 3 David's that work at my place)

I was really looking for delivery in January. What are the cars that are coming in September. I really want the blue, cream leather and no other options.

There are 2 blue colours now available, Canvasite Blue and Diamond Silver? The deals available are better in September for the reasons I've explained but I can still do a decent deal for a factory order. You would need to take the car in December at the latest as the current support level (which s the strongest it's ever been on any AMG product) expires at year end and may or may not be available on Jan depending on stock levels/targets for next year...

I will come down on Wednesday and see if we can thrash a deal out.

maybe stupid question, but does this include insurance?
thanks
No it doesn't include insurance. Free insurance deals tend to be on Corsas, Clios and other low insurance group cars

It's still going to cost £32k to hire a C63 for 3 years, or buy a 2008 one for £28k
After 3 years the new one gives you 0 equity the used one say £15k equity
So if one can lowers ones expectation a tad and drive a 08 / 09 you will save £17k over 3 years.
(minus the finance cost of the used one if you don't have cash)
Personally I would never buy a new car again in the foreseeable climate as it makes no sense at all.

Looking at their website, they seem very expensive.

I got mine at substantially less than the MBUK advertised rate.

Using the examples on their site it's still cheaper than on the MB site so not sure how you arrive at your conclusion.

The only advantage to buying new IMO is the full manufacturer warranty - but buying an ex-demo (or pre-reg) (which I did with my Toyota) gives me 4.5 years warranty and an 8 grand discount! So, I agree with Dave, no sense buying new!

I've been more a lurker than a participator on these boards for a while.

Apologies for the deviation from the original topic but I really don't understand why it is that every time somebody comes on the boards and asks a question about C63 (or indeed other model) lease deals people who have no interest in the car in question or experience of the various providers and finance products feel the need to pipe up with at best "you don't want to do that mate" or at worst, and as seems to be sadly frequent, downright derogatory and bitchy comments.

For a forum which represents a brand with what one might reasonably assume is a mature and well grounded owner demographic it really is peculiar.

You make a valid point, but people's needs and outlook on leasing differ. I had to think long and hard before deciding to lease my next car, it seems so illogical to pay so much money and have nothing left at the end of it, but all said and done, I want a 2012 model not a 2008 model and when you compare the lease costs with the depreciation on a new model, leasing makes perfect sense.

Additionally, if you accept that motoring carries a monthly cost, I get a lot more car for my £555 per month (C63 on 6+24) than the equivalent money for a car loan.

Finally, it's also much easier, I really hate selling cars, the thought of driving to dealers to get a good price or inviting strangers to my home to kick the tyres of my car is not a good one. With leasing, some nice chap from the lease company will come and pick the car up at the end of the agreed period. Nice and easy :thumb:

I am a property dealer and therefore hate to tie large sums of money up in a vehicle so leasing/pcp suits me very well. Yes it does cost more than buying a used example but you get the added security of a 3 year warranty and I can use the cash to invest at returns far in excess of MB rates of interest. The gentleman that is paying £550 per month could I ask what deposit you put down please?

Based on my experience on a PCP deal I would suggest that you will be looking at about £3500- £4000 deposit @ £550 per month on a standard non-optioned car.

Note that it's worth looking at shorter deals - for me it was cheaper over 2 years than 3.

YHM. Cheers.
