My uncle had a 928 back in the 90s and at an Irish horse show and took an old chap for a spin, the old guy could hardly speak but did ask "she diesel??"

Cannot wait for my BITDI with its fake V8 sound. The C63 is making me want the plug in box to increase it..

I had an SQ5 last year for a couple of months and the sound is quite authentic I have to say

My Mrs has the SQ5 at the minute. In sport mode when you hit the go pedal, it does actually sound pretty tasty....for a an oil burner ! Lots of torque, and grips like a horny w****er !

Mine was one of the old 4.2`s......It sounded ok ,but the car itself wasn't great to be honest.

The newer ones are supposed to be much better.

My buddy had one of those BiTDi A6's, it was a bit of a weapon... Such a big car though!

Ironically, he came to view my C63 with me, and a few months later, he bought his very own C63 after selling his Cayman.

We look like a right couple of numpties if we go anywhere together!

His is Palladium Grey and mine is Obsidian Black. Both Coupes.

I test drove 2 XKR 5.0 before I decided to get the C63. I enjoyed them. They come with just about every option as standard. When you put them in Dynamic (I think it's called that) they really move. I was spinning the rears going along the A40 in 3rd gear.

If you put in new seats and a new steering wheel they would be fine inside too

I have a CLS 55 and a C63 flew past me the other day and the sound man... mine is great, but the C63 seems a notch above. Great cars. As are all AMGs.

And I can confirm that a 2004 Bentley Continental GT can't outdrag an A6 Bi TDi, no matter how many times you try

The synthesised sound is pretty good under load and at low RPM but it sounds like any other diesel at high revs.

What about a 2015 Bentley GT V8, a 2011 GTR or a Tesla 70D. That's the neighbours cars that I'm failing at doing a Jones's with.
