Picked it up this morning, not read in full but headline figures are C63 with PPP slowest around Bedford Autodrome but quickest to 100. RS5 is quicker around Bedford by a tenth of a second with the M3 second. RS5 gets 3 stars and M3 and C63 get 5.

I was really looking forward to this and got it the day it came out (my prescription ended on this issue!).

Really wanted to see some proper performance stats for the C63 PPP but I'm not entirely sure if they are actually right as the Bedford time of 1.28.8 is exactly the same as they got in 2008 for a normal C63 (without LSD too!)...either a very big coincidence or they've just used old figures (although peak speed is up from 106mph to 109mph??). :dk:

In any case, just check out the acceleration times - it practically annihilates the others, especially at higher speeds (once the challenge of traction has been overcome). For instance 0-120 is 2 seconds quicker than the next best - 2 seconds is a few car lengths difference at that speed!

A good result though...5/5 with the M3 and another bad result for the RS5!

Evo never stated IIRC if they had an LSD equipped car or a PPP.

Quite frankly, the LSD and everything should be standard and all you pic is interior trim and colour.

Depends on the tyres fitted to the cars at time of the test. From auto expresses tyre test, they have a massive effect on grip, feel etc.

Just re-read it and it is definitely the PPP and I would guess MB's PPP press car would have the LSD.

Also, the performance figures are definitely for the PPP as they quote differences throughout the text against the one two years ago - my bad, didn't read it properly first time and just concentrated on the stats
