Hoping that some of you could lend a bit of advise. My C63 started pulling to the left the other week and I was having to hold the steering wheel to the right to counter act, thus meaning the car is always "turning".

I have been to 2 different places now and they have adjusted around 5 times on separate occasions to sort and get the steering wheel straight but it just won't happen.

First off nit was to the right, then to the left, the back to the right at. Greater angle and then again back to the left. The system that the tow places have used are the Hunter and Corghi (sp) full laser systems and all adjustments are in the green, but the steering wheel will just not go straight.

It is now really annoying so does anyone have any other ideas or suggestions? Does the tracking need to be "out" to get things lined up?

The fact the position has changed after going back proves this is a workmanship issue. In truth the final position is cosmetic but totally in your face when wrong..... I suggest you give them one last chance but you conclude the level before any adjustments are made.

Out of intrest who did you take it to to have the correct adjusment done

Local place to me, Merrow Tyres, in Farnham, Surrey. £30 for the adjustment, took a couple of attempts but got it. It's a fine are and ninja skills needed I think.

Info

The best place to take any car for this tweak is to a back street garage with older mechanics .I had this problem with my W123 .The garages i visited just made it worse. Then i told the one mechanic he knew right away what had been done ,all adjustment had been made on the one side. The thing that none of them did only the old chap , was to lock the steering wheel in straight ahead possition. And the drive in tyre co are of no use at all for this job.

Once the tyres start to wear conically the car will always pull with that set of tyres on

I've taken tyres off cars that look OK on first inspection but, when you look closely, you find one side has a smaller diameter than the other - it's worn into a cone shape. Put it on the front of a car and it won't go in a straight line
