Have just put my 1995 w202 through it's mot and it has falled:( , nothing major but i have a query about camber angles on the back of the car.

What has happened is this, i put new tyres all round about 3 months ago and now the mot bloke has said that the rears need replacing:mad: not cheap at 80 quid a tyre. one thing that has puzzled me is that when he tried to jack the back up while it was an the ramp he only got the car up on the 4th attempt because as he was jacking the car up the body went up but the wheels stayed on the deck????. he asked if the car had been lowered and i replied no it is how i bought the car. he then said that the camber angles on the back might need to be looked at. anybody had ANYTHING like this as i am at a loss at why my tyres are wearing out so quickly

definately sounds like you need tracking done. You would have to do this on ALL 4 tyres just to be safe. The fact the wheels are worn out would meant that the angle of the camber is off set. Are both rear tyres equally worn on the same sides?

yes mate they are worn from the outside edge to the middle.

That sounds like too much toe in on the rear suspension.
If the vehicle had been lowered you would normally expect the camber to wear the inner edge not the outer.

Just get new tyres and have a full 4 wheel alignment performed.
