Can anyone read old written English?

Hi all!

I've been doing a lot of work on my family tree lately, and more often than not I struggle to read half of the writing on the census records. Most times I eventually figure it out, however this time I'm stuck...

Can anyone read that word? It's a profession of some sort, most likely farming related due to the area. I can't for the life of me make it out!

I think they are Wheelwright, spelt as Wheelright it looks to me.

The are the same profession I think - father and son. Wheelright seems to be the closest, however I thought that was spelled wheelwright?

Remember language changes over time - spelling too.

Could well be wheelright, I knew someone a few years ago with that as their surname. They say surnames are a look at the past so wheelright is probably a forrunner of todays wheelwright

Bear in mind (my g-grandfather was a master wheelwright) that wheelwrights did not just make wagon wheels, they also made water wheels and the wooden gears inside water mills and wind mills, etc etc etc, so look for those sorts of activities in their location too.

Ok - new challenge:

Profession of a 15 year old girl, in 1891. Possible school related, however they normally stick down Scholar for that, so not so sure...
