Can I lease this car?

you could do but i doubt mercedes would pass the lease due to the young age of the business (you may not even have your first accounts?)

there are other lease companies and you could get a lease but would work out very expensive until you have a good trading history..

Very very nice choice, making me jealous already :D.

As far as I know you can lease/lease purchase etc. used cars but usually it ends up being quite expensive because the leasing companies charge more for the privelige as the write down is more unpredictable.

If you are serious I can ask my father, he does leasing etc for a living - not for a quote :p , just to make sure I am not talking rubbish.

I see.....

I may have to wait a while then.

Leasing a car seems to be a good option but maybe I am jumping the gun a little.

Edit: BUT I WANT IT!!!!

It is a shame its silver/dull chrome but I do like it.

As it is not a new car can I lease it through PCS?

All guidence welcome.

Olly

I looked at that car about 3 months ago. Nice but it doesnt have parktronic and they have had it for ages and ages. I think it could be had for somewhat lower than the price on the screen!

Hold out for a black one. Much nicer. The one at MB manchester has just been returned by a customer. They offered it to me about 5 months ago, I passed and it was then sold. Its back now:confused: .

For those of us that like the AMG it's an awfully nice car, but for someone that has just started a new business it might not be the best of investments. :)

John

But they both have command, so thats no good, but in the background I do feel like glojo, not yet, invest in the business first.

My daily driver:

I have driven it for 7 months now. Done 7,000+ miles in it and it is driving me mad.

im sure you will find something in between that and the C55!!

get the W123 going?!

Its always a hard one when starting up on your own.

When I bought my first decent car after 12 months trading, it did cause conflict.
The neighbours on the left would say in loud voices,

"Look at all the money he is making out of us"

The ones on the left would say

"Well he must be good at what he does, look at the nice car he has bought"

No one new that I sold my nice car that I had for £40 to start up the business. I did have £40 in cash also

That is another issue that I have.

People do judge and do I want a newish C55 parked outside the workshop if people are going think "He is making too much". But it possibly would be a good advert for me and PCS.

It is a difficult one.

No mate, its not, your business does not need a C55 outside to be a success...
Your business will thrive from reputation, advertising, good cashflow and investment in the correct resources.

I come to work every day in my 27 year old bright yellow mercedes, i dont think ive ever lost a sale due to that.

I know that i would much rather take my car to someone who is going to look after my car reliably whilst also looking after my wallet, that is what would make me come back.

if i saw a C55 outside a workshop and i knew it belonged to the owner, i would do a quick u turn.

There is NO WAY any garage business, especially a one man one, can afford to buy and run a C55 from profits...

This is all money that could be invested wisely, maybe another mechanic, another ramp, another premises...

if you want to promote your business, buy one of the smart cars off me that i have just bought, put stickers all over it and help both our businesses ;)

One of the local garages near here is owned by one man. He has an S600 Bi turbo. His only trade is his garage.

I do think it is possible but I think I am jumping the gun.

Jay - Excellent advise mate, have a Banana or two.

:bannana: :bannana: :bannana: :bannana:

My own thoughts are that if you had an absolutely immaculate older Mercedes parked outside that shone like a new pin....... inside, outside and under the bonnet. Then that would speak volumes about your skills, dedication and pride in the marque.

Just my thoughts and if you want the latest all singing, all dancing vehicle, then it's your money and your business.

Good luck with the decision
John
