Can you reset error codes in the ECU

,,,,,Without the diagnostic tool? I.E disconnect the battery for 30 mins or is it a case of having to use the tool, and can you read the codes by flashing them off with a wire link like you can on a Vauxhall?

You can reset some engine codes with a simple ODB2 tool but not the majority of manufacturer specific ones for that you will need to get a more advanced reader or Star

You my be able to turn lights off, you will never erase the codes, sometimes if the car can see a recorded fault code it will flag up a light again. You can pin anything to get flash codes I'm afraid.
