A few months ago I posted a thread about whats the best car for a grand and there was lots of useful replies and the general concensus was get a 190. But as id been there done that I completely ignored it.

Strangely a person turned up to buy my old car and completely out of the blue I ended up taking this in part x .

CLK320, 105k, full service, electric memory etc etc. Small rust no extra charge :)

And the amount allowed ......

...... 500 quid

So owning for 3 months and putting 4k on it ive spent the grand total of 10 quid on a new wiper blade !!

Fortunately I had a set of 18" monoblocks in the shed, I bought a brand new Remus exhaust, new old stock of ebay for a steal. Also had a JVC double din sat nav spare so bunged that in as well

What it looks like now

As it was so cheap im actually enjoying ragging it !!

You can get Aero wiper blades on Ebay for £4...you wasted £6!!

They don't work at all on curved screens and are noisy on flat ones.

Of, course, however, having thrown 2 sets away off two cars that would have failed the MOT due to the wipers not contacting the screen, I will stick to my view.

I wasted 12 quid on a pair if aero wipers from ebay. Lasted a few weeks before the squeak started then they came apart and scratched the windscreen. Never again! Bosch or Valeo from now on.

Which are more than likely made in the same factory as the Tesco or EBay ones.........

Not trying to be contentious , but i buy the absolute cheapest aero wipers i can find on ebay.

Never any problems on my CLK screen , in fact it is the best wipe i have had ( ooo er ) ..... admittedly , they dont last as long as high quality ones , but for £2 each , i'm happy to change them every six months.

No noise from mine either :o
