Carpet Annoys me!

On my way home last night I tried a little experiment, I rolled my left trouser leg up, Result:

Hairy leg next to Carpet = next to no irritation

It must be something to do with the material my trouser are made of! :o

Got out of the car at home, wife thought I had completely lost the plot.

Thought I would amend my Avatar in celebration!

I had a customer complaining the seat trim chaffed him and gave him boils. Just about at the point of having the seat covers removed and rebuilt without piping (at his expense) then he changed his jeans...........................:thumb:

You wouldn't still be wearing 1960's / 70's Crimplene trousers ??

Does the heat from the transmission tunnel make it worse. (Sensible Comment !)

Rolled up trouser leg, the word Mason comes to mind ?

Ans: As far as can remember I have never owned a pair of Crimplene Trousers!

Ans: No the irritation appears to be more or less instant!

Ans: Admittedly is was my Left Leg so as far as I am aware no secrets were given away, but my Wife's comment on seeing me standing on my Driveway started with WTF!

Thanks for the insight regarding your Wardrobe, have you tried the Antiques Road Show in order to receive lots of money?

(Other Reputable Sale Sites and Organisations are available on Request)

Common cause seems to be formaldehyde resins in easi-care/crease resistant fabrics

I thought for a moment that you had cracked it. :bannana:

My Trousers are Polyester and made from the "Travel" material from M&S so are probably treated with some concoction mentioned in your Link, but, the Irritation would affect ALL areas of Skin that the material came into contact with, it only appears to make my Leg Itchy when in contact with the Carpet AND my Trouser Leg! :dk:

Could be the extra heat created by the gearbox tunnel causing a reaction between the strides and the carpet.
