The centre box has now moved on to another life.

I am very impressed with the sound. Infact not really that much different unless its being reved / driven hard.

Only drive about 500meters though since its been done so cant see if its any more responsive faster etc etc.

Still the money was justifably spent at least as the centre box needed to be replaced anyway :D

I paid £125 to get the job. If you have a C43 / E55 etc do it. You know it make sense. GRAV888 will back me up on this one

I've driven a E55 without the centre box, it sounds alot better, but not obstrusive. I drove it after it had been chipped, so it felt alot quicker than my 55.

Things is it probably wont be quicker except for accelerating say 40 -80

Just a matter of howlong the 'I will not let you go faster' light flash's at me for :D

WOW :D

I am loving it. The sounds is amazing. I have never heard my car as it passes me so got a friend to drive it away from me and the back past me. What can I say :bannana:

Although I need to lighten my right foot a little. AVG last tank 18MPG :o

Pity you're not coming to the gtg now.
2 x AMG's with modded exhausts through the tunnel by the hotel side by side
Oh well, another time ;)

Just as a matter of interest, would this be advisable on a 300ce 12v ?

Or has anybody done this?

Thanks, Bill. :)

Yes i have been thinking along the same lines.

Someone on the Mercedes Benz Club forum had a C43 and replaced the centre box what he called a Soundtube which he ordered from MKB in Germany for around £400, he said it sounded fantastic. I don't wan't the C43 to sound like a dogs dinner, i must have listen to yours GRAV.
