There is no part number for the adaptation between the old and the new parts.

You can purchase a kit from MBENZNL [email protected]

There is no point discussing it as a DIY unless you have a plethora of unique tools.

Fortunately I do have a huge amount of different crimp tools (as I work in the multi-room audio field)
So what are the parts needed.

MQS female pins from Tyco,
Palladin MQS crimper
SMB Fakra connector for the antenna with non-key shell
SMB crimper for RG58

Rather common in audio I suspect.

So apart from these bits do I only need the MB UHI unit ?
Thanks

Do bear in mind that the current version of the Bluetooth unit seems to be regarded as Crap. (only SAP phones, limited contacts etc.) The next generation will be better in some ways, but still seems uncertain. I'm waiting because I have a UHI car anyway, but If I'd kmown it would take this long I would have ripped it out and fitted a Parrot unit.
Having used both I would say that the Parrot set up is significantly better in most respects - the Comand integration is nice and the Audio on my current setup (UHI with Nokia 6230) is slightly better than the Parrot. (Which I would guess is just the MB integrated microphones)

If you don't have UHI I would say that fitting the Parrot is a no-brainer - Its much cheaper and far more flexible

I'll agree the range of phones that have SAP capabilities are crap but the actual system works very well. I have never had a problem other than with the useless, slow, pathetic Nokia N73 I am using.
