Well it looks like it's going to work... I have received all of the confirmation paperwork through this morning, which is a lot further than I have got with previous erroneously priced items....

Memory alone is worth about £70.
Monitor is worth around £52.
CPU is worth something like £120.
Disk is probably about £60.
Keyboard and mouse probably total around £10.
Case...... £30-50
Motherboard £30-50

Starting to like like they aren't actually a steal at all, just well priced.

Looks like they have changed it now, you no longer save £100 selecting 3.0 GHz, it adds £30!

Did they call you or send you an email? I've heard nothing! I did select the 1GB memory upgrade though.

I got an email almost straight away giving an internet reciept number, using that I have been able to track my order: Your order has been dispatched as of 3/1/2005 15:44. Fingers crossed for you.

Mine's here. Very nice machine - very quiet too. Haven't bothered unpacking the monitor.

the top end Dell machines are very quiet - they've got a real clever fan exhaust system on them which completely surrounds the processor and the fan is varispeed - put your hand over the vent at the back and it will wake up though

When mine are working really hard they create enough of a draft/suction to move loose papers on the desk
